2. Concrete Field Practice: Mixes, Formwork, Flatwork & Quality
intermediateThe second concrete course, for people who already know the basics and want to run the work well: mix design submittals and ordering, the pour plan, formwork pressure and shoring and reshoring, reinforcing and embeds and the pre-pour inspection, placing and finishing flatwork to ACI 117 tolerances, curing and hot and cold weather concreting, testing and acceptance, the common defects and their causes, and the production rates behind a concrete estimate.
